Frank van den Berg
Frank started his career with Unilever, worked with WMX Technologies, Renault and GMAC Financial Services, in managerial and then executive international responsibilities. His 20 year track record includes all elements of international business development, from analysis to strategy formulation and hands-on implementation, including new country entry (Eastern Europe, Asia), dealer management, marketing and advertising, key account management (including General Motors), sales and sales training (including training programs for 1000+ persons across Europe), new media, and mergers & acquisitions. Frank is a Dutch national, has worked all over the world, and lives in the UK with his wife and two daughters. He is a keen sailor and traveller. He holds an MBA from Insead (Fontainebleau, France), MA in Economics (UK) and an MA in History (Netherlands). Through Alumni memberships he has an outstanding global network in both the private and public sectors.
David Wilson
David brings Infinity Blue Medical 18 years of international experience in business development, marketing and sales management, with a focus on the in vitro diagnostics industry. He is currently serving as Vice President, Commercial Operations Europe for Molecular Detection Inc., an early stage US/UK/Israel-based molecular diagnostics company. He was the founder and managing director of Bioscience Business Resources, an agency providing distributor selection and management services in Europe for U.S.-based diagnostic manufacturers. Previously, David held roles of increasing responsibility at Genzyme, ultimately serving as director of business development at Genzyme Diagnostics. Earlier he worked in marketing, sales and business development at Genzyme Diagnostics and Genzyme Molecular Oncology. Prior to Genzyme, Mr. Wilson held marketing and sales positions at Boehringer Mannheim Diagnostics. He is a founder and business team member of South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA), an organization supporting regional health technologies businesses in the south east of England. Mr. Wilson received an M.B.A. from Open University Business School and a B.S. in biochemistry with microbiology from the University of St. Andrews. He also studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Craig Hughes
Craig has built his experience in the telecommunications/software sector through 15 years as Communication Specialist with the R oyal Air Force followed by close to 10 years as Operations Director for the Network Europe Group of Companies. This later included a telecom start up SME which went from zero turnover to a �7 million turnover in just 3 years and provided voice and software related solutions to the NHS. Now specializing in Business Integration Development in new Telco, Media and software products. Having worked in Europe, Australia, the UK and several other international assignments Craig has a contact network and operational experience second to none in his industry. Craig lives with his partner and family in Essex and in his spare time loves to play rugby and watch football.
Sagar Patil
Sagar’s 11 years of corporate career focussed on business development, performance improvement strategy development & implementation for large and medium sized companies including Symantec, FedEx and ‘AND’. Other expertise and passions include knowledge management and technology innovation. After moving into consulting in 2008, his focus has been market research and analytics with in depth work in over ten industries across UK, Europe or globally. Some of his earlier work involved developing innovative products/services for logistics and healthcare industry based on telematics.
Sagar earned MBA degree with Distinction from Norwich Business School and also has a Diploma in Management Consulting from IBC, London. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has multiple certifications in IT field.
Through his back ground Sagar has an outstanding network in and understanding of India and wider Asia as well. Sagar is also actively involved in technological ventures in various capacities. He likes to travel a lot and takes active interest in cricket, F1 racing. He and his wife live in East of England.
Christoph Knoess
Charles Smee
Charles started his career at the Financial Times and in the advertising world eg. as senior director with Bates and Grey working in London, Paris, South Korea, Malaysia and Romania, working for leading international brands like Coca-cola and British Amercian Tobacco. He was also General Manager for Tait Asia (Hong Kong) in Vietnam, a leading distributor in the food and personal care sector. Within GBDN Charles focuses on advertising, test marketing and field sales, sales promotion, sales force motivation and trade marketing. Charles holds a BA in Economics and History, an ISP Sales Promotion Diploma and is a bilingual English/French speaker. He enjoys tennis, golf and country living with French wife and 2 sons.
Mark Sykes
Mark has held a number of Senior Operations and Business Development Roles in UK Plc's including Operations Director for Tesco and Business Development Director for Compass Plc. His highly successful track record includes building and changing large scale corporate businesses but also he has created new supply chains and distribution platforms for new products and services in the UK and internationally. In the last eight years Mark has worked in the SME arena where he has run successful businesses and worked with others to enable them to achieve steep growth. He also has experience in mergers and acquisitions and raising corporate finance. Mark has extensive contacts in a range of industries in Europe and the Americas and also has excellent contacts in the UK banking sector. Originally from Yorkshire, he now lives in Lincolnshire with his wife and son.
Robin Marks
Robin started his career in London West End advertising agencies. He has over 20 years experience in organising and managing a wide range of commercial events � conferences, meetings, trade exhibitions, road shows, corporate dinners, sales incentive campaigns and incentive travel. Expertise in areas such as design/theming, fundraising and sponsorship, venue finding, marketing/sales, logistics/planning, catering, entertainment, financial administration, IT and databases. Robin has worked at senior project management and marketing level, on a number of high profile complex events, including several launches. Robin is a British national and has also worked on the North East coast of the USA. He is sport enthusiast and travels widely with his family. He holds a BA in media studies.
Joao Henrique Bettencourt da Silva
part time associate Joao is a Portuguese national living in the UK. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and is currently doing a Masters by research. After high school in Lisbon he studied in England (University of East Anglia) and USA (Yale).
Wai Yu, Li (Mandy)
part time associate Mandy is a Chinese national living in the UK who worked and studied in Hong Kong and is now studying for a University of East Anglia degree course in Business Management. Her languages include Mandarin and Cantonese.
Alejandro Berdon Ramos
part time associate Alex is a Mexican national, holding a BSc in industrial engineering from the University of Pueblo, Mexico. He also lived and studied in Spain, and is currently living in the UK where he is finalizing his MA in Marketing. Alex did an internship at Schweppes Cadbury.
Magda Raczynska
part time associate Magda graduated with distrinction from her Masters course at the Faculty of Law and Administration from Lodz University in Poland. She also studied in Strasbourg and Maastricht. She speaks Polish, English and French.
Laura Velcea
part time associate Laura currently studies for her Masters degree in International Relationships and Development Studies in England. A Romenian national she has significant experience in marketing and PR, and previously studied in Bucharest and Norwich.
Jalal Tantoush
part time associate Jalal is an engineering and business management graduate (from Tripoli and Conventry University) and currently does his PhD at the East Anglia UEA. Jalal speaks fluent English next to his native Arabic.
Yoko Hamada
part time associate Yoko is a Japanese national currently studying for her Master in Environmental studies. She worked for several Japanese International Cooperation Assocations. She holds a BA degree in Applied Biology Science from the Tokyo University of Science.
